NUTRACEUTICAL: A REVIEW
AbstractNutraceuticals have received considerable interest because of their presumed safety. The Present article focuses on the need for consuming appropriate diets, health issues surrounding the failure to adhere to the known healthy eating models, development of new nutraceuticals / functional foods/food supplements with novel health benefits, elucidation mechanisms of action of these products, to define and understand the analytical, formulation and regulatory aspects of nutraceutical. This article may act as a tool to abreast of the recent developments in nutraceutical research.
